How to Survive A Saudi Arabian Work Contract

How to Survive A Saudi Arabian Work Contract No two workers with a Saudi Arabian Work contract will agree on how to spend their time in that country. Each contract is unique and special to the individual's background and work experience. I also believe that the workers cultural background plays a major part in their selection, where they live and the conditions they would be living under.

I had three splendid 8 month contracts. I was fortunate to spend my time at two excellent work sites and work time schedules.

While in Tariff and Dhaharn, I was able to set the stage of how to pass good time in most difficult circumstances. It was my first time in country, but not my first time abroad. I was totally unaware of the cultural difference, the climate, the people and the religious element I had chosen to live in for the next two years.

Those coming to Saudi Arabia for the first time may feel a little unearthed and a little confused by the situations and special events, but it is doable. Life in Saudi Arabia is quite different from other countries, but it is constantly changing and growing at great speed. The Saudis are no longer without contact with the modern world. They have caught up with amazing speed and show much pride.

My first and second contract was an eight month contract and I was very happy to live in a private villa. I lived there with other men. The city was called Taiff. It was reported to be the king's winter retreat. It was beautiful and had frequent fair skies. It even snowed I was told. Each member had his own quarters and we lived right in the middle of the city. I was lucky to have a short work to work. In fact, it took me a five minutes to walk to my work compound.

My third contract was on a compound. That was my first compound ever, but it was pleasant. It was not a concentration camp as some thought.I had wanted to live on a compound because I had decided to returned to Saudi Arbaia to round out my time. I wanted to complete two very years.

Now, to help those thinking about going to Saudi Arabia or for those already in that unusual and splendid country, one only needs to make sure that they understand their contract. First, you do not count the month that you are in and you do not count the last month. That will leave one with only ten months to work. In regards to the weeks, You do not count the week that you are in and you do not count the last week. That leaves you with fifty weeks. Believe me time goes extremely fast. Along with all the breaks and holidays you will be in a fine position. Time will fly. Good Luck.
